Robert J. Parry, M.B.A., CEO

Mr. Parry has over 20 years of business leadership, product development and technology commercialization experience, with a background of success in a variety of bioresearch markets, including multiple start-ups, as well as large companies.  Previously as President and COO at BioMicro Systems, in addition to leading the business, he oversaw product development, and was co-inventor of several technologies and products.  Prior to BioMicro, Mr. Parry held top level operation positions in several instrument and consumable businesses, including Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, Fluidigm, and Nanosys. Mr. Parry received a B.S.M.E. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. from MIT in Operations Management and Technology Innovation.

Nils Adey, Ph.D., CSO

Dr. Adey has over 20 years in technology creation and product development.  As a bench scientist, his experience has taught him the practical side of working at a lab bench and an instinct to identify and create truly useful technology and products. He brings to the company expertise in technology development with an exceptional track record of successfully commercializing new and significant products.  Previously as Chief Scientist and the Head of Molecular Biology also at BioMicro Systems, he was the primary inventor of the MAUI System, as well as co-inventor of IGOR technology.  Prior to joining BioMicro, Dr. Adey was a Senior Scientist at Myriad Genetics’ in the technology development group.  Dr. Adey has authored 19 peer-reviewed publications and been an inventor on 13 issued and pending patents. Dr. Adey received his Ph.D. from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the direction of Kenan Professor Clyde A. Hutchison III, Ph.D.

Dr. Ronald Weiss, M.D., M.B.A., Board Member

Dr. Weiss is an academic pathologist, practicing and teaching in the specialty of hematopathology.  At the University of Utah’s ARUP Laboratories, Dr. Weiss held the position of President/Chief Operating Officer, as well as served at other times as Chief Medical Officer/Director of Laboratories, Director of Business Development, and Director of Health Policy, External Affairs and Corporate Communication.  Since 2010 Dr. Weiss  has been the Director of Faculty Outreach for the University of Utah’s Office of Technology Ventures Development, and he also has an advisory role for another University of Utah start-up DecipherGenX.  Dr. Weiss received his M.D. from Crieghton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Utah.
